Woman Led Media Outlet Celebrates 10 Years in Atlanta

Atlanta’s Modex Studios lit up with inspiration, elegance, and celebration as JaGurl TV marked its 10-year anniversary—and JAM Culture TV was there to capture it all.

A Love Letter to Her Younger Self

The emotional core of the night came during an intimate 1-on-1 sit-down between Ravin, founder of JaGurl TV, and the host. In a moment that resonated with every Black woman chasing her purpose, Ravin was asked what she would say in a love letter to her 16-year-old self.

“Girl, you poppin!”

Ravin reflected on the early grind—the days when Black women in media were pushing just to be seen, just to hold space on red carpets. “This was such a man’s game for so long,” she shared, noting how the culture has shifted thanks to consistent, trailblazing effort.

She thanked the women before her and beside her, saying, “Thank you for pioneering a way where all of us are free to be in this room, independent, without big names behind us… just doing it on our own.”

A Decade of Impact

Over the last 10 years, JaGurl TV has become a staple in Black entertainment journalism—covering everything from red carpets to celebrity exclusives, always from a lens that centers authenticity, integrity, and culture. The anniversary wasn’t just a party—it was a celebration of legacy in real time.

Black Women in Media: The Movement Continues

This night was a powerful reminder that Black women are not just participants in media—they’re running it, shaping it, and evolving it. From Ravin’s heartfelt words to the vibe of the entire celebration, it was clear: the future of media is female, Black, and unapologetically self-made.
