🎬 An Evening of Truth-Telling Through Film – April 24 at Cinefest Theater
Atlanta film lovers and truth-seekers, mark your calendars.
On Wednesday, April 24 at 6:15 PM, the American Visionaries Film Festival invites you to a special screening of The Five Short Films Series — a compelling lineup of short films exploring untold stories and complex histories often missing from traditional narratives.
One of the featured films, Color Karma, tells the powerful story of a Black Republican attorney who initially opposes reparations for Foundational Black Americans—until an unexpected encounter with his ancestral past changes everything. The film explores themes of identity, historical accountability, and transformation, all through the lens of honest storytelling.
Hosted at the Cinefest Film Theater, located on the Georgia State University campus, this event is free and open to the public — but early arrival is encouraged. The first 50 guests will receive complimentary popcorn, and a live Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.
